The APRU is ready for Arctic temperatures! This icing test, performed by ETL / Intertek is part of NEMA4X qualification, required for equipment advertised as "outdoor equipment". Apart from being water and dust-proof, the APRU has proven itself to be undamaged by the external formation of ice on the enclosure. Not only that, the embedded heater keeps its contents from freezing, meaning you'll never have to worry about what's inside.
Considering the fact that our team is primarily made up of UofA alumni and current students, we're thrilled to announce that we are sponsoring a project for the University of Arizona Engineering Interdisciplinary Capstone.
The project is challenging a team of students to design and build a novel automated refrigerant filling station for small portable medical refrigerators. The filling station will be able to automatically add refrigerant with an accuracy of +/- 0.1 grams as well as recover unused refrigerant to be recycled and reused.
We are proud to be working with the University of Arizona engineering students to solve a problem that will help Delta's manufacturing line and give the students real-world experience.
